We want to "develop community" in our church. The best way to do that is to move people from rows (worship environment) to circles (groups).
The easiest way to move from a "row" to a "circle" is to attend a huddle, Sundays @ 9 AM, which are life-stage appropriate groups that serve as a social space and a study place. CLICK HERE to learn more. To see where your huddle would meet, click here.
Another way to move from a "row" to a "circle" is a Growth Group. Growth Groups are integral to all that we do at Westlake. As our church grows larger on Sunday, we grow smaller during the week. We believe this was the successful practice of the early church (cf. Acts 2:46-47; 5:42). We want to experience that same kind of community.
Groups are a great way to meet new friends, grow in your relationship with God and make a difference. We encourage everyone to be involved in a Growth Group (5-15 people meeting in homes).
Why Growth Groups? - At Westlake, we believe that life is a team sport - best done together! Christianity is not a “Lone Ranger” religion. So we want to encourage you to check out a Growth Group. It’s a great way to meet new people while growing in your faith. Connect with God! Make Friends! Make a Difference! That’s what a Growth Group can bring into your life.
*Growth Groups meet in 2 different semesters (Spring & Fall) with a summer break in the middle of the year and a brief winter/Christmas break in later December/early January.
