Post-16 Results 2017/18

At Post-16 we are pleased to note the impact of the changes to the curriculum, with our BTEC courses fully embedded alongside A Levels into the Post-16 offer. A testament to the parallel curriculum changes is that all BTEC students this year have been offered university courses, with some even embarking on international work experience, as a direct result of the vocational experience gained during their BTEC courses.
This year 35% of all grades were at A*/A equivalent and 62% at A*-B equivalent, an increase from 53% A*-B last year.

The breakdown of grades from our 2017/18 cohort are:
A*: 14%
A*/A: 40% (up from 37%)
A*-B: 69% (up from 67%)
A*- C: 89% (up from 88%)
A*-E: 99% (99%)

Principal, Simon Jodrell, comments, "We are exceptionally proud of our Post-16 results which continue to improve year-on-year, enabling almost all of our students to move confidently on to their first choice option for tertiary studies. The students and their families I’m sure will be as proud as our staff are."
